Basically, can SAP has two factory calenders to reflect weekends and public holidays for preventive maintenance?

Hi,
Factory calendar is assigned to the Plant or to the Work Center (in Capacity Category Screen). If no calendar is assigned in work center then the calendar attached to the Plant is considered.
Depending on your requirements you can create the Factory calendats and assign the same to Work center or Plant and it works as explained above.
